Preston may get punished for that

Preston made numerous announcements asking their fans to stay off the pitch/get off the pitch (which we didn't) and therefore probably cannot be held responsible on the basis that they can claim to have taken all possible steps to manage the situation.

If anyone did assault him - then those individuals can hopefully be identified from TV footage which covered the pitch invasion quite extensively, and they can be held responsible. However, before jumping to conclusions, we should probably remember that the video evidence didn't exactly back up similar claims by Albion players, and if anything, it was the other way round!

It is also worth noting that he made a challenge during the game that could have broke Joey Garner's leg - doesn't justify what he is claiming happened, but the bloke behaved like an absolute cock throughout the match.

Sky don't have a clue.  The Chelsea fans gave dogs abuse to Gerrard throughout the game, as Gerrard quite rightly said after the game, when asked about the "standing ovation" from the Stamford Bridge crowd.
