Leicester deserve to stay up.  We quite frankly deserve to be relegated.  Yes we have improved under Sherwood, but we've been abysmal all season.

Both us and Leicester have been abysmal all season but have improved recently. Yet we deserve to be relegated, but Leicester don't. Why?
I think they've worked harder than we did under Lambert, and given they came up, had a genuine dearth in quality.
Where-as with our spine, we've really underperformed.

That said, Burnley have worked harder than any other side, but they're sorely lacking in quality. They're bottom on merit. I'd say it's harsh that they "deserve" it, particularly when you see the money outlayed by sides like Newcastle and Sunderland and the shambolic displays they've given. QPR too. If three teams actually deserved it, it would be them for me.

God when you look at the players in this Leicester team it's a disgrace that lambert got us anywhere near them. How many will be snapped up if they go down? Schmeichel maybe?

I said on one of the other threads a while back, that Albrighton was spotted on a train on the way back from Wembley supporting the Villa

I've no doubt he's a nice bloke & a Villa fan but he's not a Premiership footballer.

Ulloa looked really good for the first 5-6 games but he's looked out of his depth since.
Albrighton could potentially get a move to this level (but he would have to drop his wages).

He sent us out not to lose and invariably we did. How on earth did the man who came to Villa with the promise of exciting football become Alex McLeish. If he just approached every game with the same attitude he had at the end of the first season he'd probably still be here and we'd not be in this mess. The incredibly negative football killed the spirit at the club. Thank goodness he's gone.

And still nothing changes. We take 6 points from our last 4 games and we stay up.
Eh ?

If we take 6 points we will stay up. I'm not sure what was complex about it.

I said months ago that 35 or 36 points would be enough and I'm sticking with it.
Leicester's run of form over the last 5 - 6 weeks has been freakish for a team at this end of the table.
I can't see Sunderland going on a run that will give them more than 5 or 6 points from their last 4 games, 3 or 4 is more realistic.

I'll be pissed of if Chelsea don't win this

They can do so easily if they want it.

The difference is they've won four matches in a row, so are on a run of form at just the right time.

We are playing miles better than we were before, but we're not really getting as many league points as we should be doing.

I'm not going to get into the "they deserve it, we don't" thing, because it's nonsense, really, but if a team manages to put together a highly impressive run of results and end up clawing themselves out of the trouble, having looked dead for most of the season, you have to have some admiration for it.

Totally agree. The teams that finish in the bottom three will deserve to go down, they always do.

Apart from west ham, they should have been relegated with tevez

Leicester spent nearly 17 million quid on two strikers, who've scored 9 league goals between them.  Compared to Burnley, they've spent fortunes.

Sunderland have five games left.  Southampton and Leicester look the easier on paper, so this weekend is pretty big I reckon.

It's not a fact like you are stating, what it is , it's highly probable but this is a bizarre season in the making.

Listen to the Leicester fans - that is the level we have to find! This is why I try to stay positive & believe, because I honestly believe that kind of support lifts teams. Neither the team nor the fans can afford to let our heads drop now!

Just been listening to the Wednesday Night Club on R5, Shay Given was on, so lot of discussion about Villa. The presenter said something about Paul Lambert, Shay was kind of diplomatic in skirting round discussing him but saying something about how positive Sherwood's been
