This Everton match will potentially be the least pressure-charged of our final three home games.  We have to approach it as a one-off cup tie, leave nothing on the pitch and get the  win.  The remaining games will then take care of themselves.

It's in our hands, win 2 home games and we're ok. Still fancy us to win against Southampton, or at least draw there. Stupid defensive errors have to be cut out.
Technically it's out of our hands

We need 6 points, I think it's between us & Sunderland (assuming Burnely & QPR are gone) It's in our own hands, if we can't get more points from our games than Sunderland then we deserve to go. We have the opportunity in the next 2 games to get it sorted but I suspect it will now go down to the last day.

I am wondering why everyone thinks so and so is going to do us any favours.  It is Aston Villa.  As everyone in their heart of hearts knows full well that this is going to the last few minutes of the Burnley game at home.
It hasn't for any of the previous seasons when we were apparently nailed on to go down at a similar point in the season.

That was Aston Villa as well.

Dave this feels different I think everyone acknowledges that or maybe not.

Please don't say everybody when you mean "I".

No I don't actually.  But I will paraphrase and say more than one person.  I'd say it's a fair bet it's right.  Or are am I not allowed to speculate anymore?
So you don't think this silly point yourself even though you brought it up in the first place, but you've decided that "everyone" else thinks it?

No, it doesn't "feel different to other seasons". It feels sad that we're in late April and still not completely safe, but nevertheless we've probably scraped enough points to be alright.

Just like the last four seasons.

For what it's worth I've calmed down and think Sunderland will still go so we will be okay quite apart from us pulling off results of our own.

If there's one thing I absolutely fucking love on here it's someone who's disagreed with coming back with "Am I not allowed to..." particularly when you then contradict yourself.

We are actually now relying on others to fail to win.

Third place is between Leicester and Sunderland. A lot will depend on Saturday's result between  those two however I think Leicester  are done. They have won 4 on the bounce but they are still in the mire. Winning 4 has taken a lot out of that team it is very unlikely they will keep that level up from now till  the end.

I think we'll end up on 39 points. Survival is in our hands, it's that simple.

The same as just about every team in every league ever then.

No it isn't. We win all 4 games and we stay up. Burnley and QPR couldn't catch us and Leicester and Sunderland play each other guaranteeing one of them couldn't catch us.

We could do with Leicester getting a demoralising tonking off Chelsea tomorrow.

Get a grip people. We are not in the bottom 3 we will not be even when everyone has played same games. We have 4 winnable games and 3 are at home.  It is in our own hands. And as per all the talk from the club manager etc .....fight like lions...

They were very lucky v Burnley.
Chelsea though have a trend of fucking us over so I expect another Leicester win tomorrow then they'll lose to keep Newcastle up

Chelsea don't do tonkings. They do 0-0s and one goal wins.
