I am wondering why everyone thinks so and so is going to do us any favours.  It is Aston Villa.  As everyone in their heart of hearts knows full well that this is going to the last few minutes of the Burnley game at home.

Need to win games, simple as that. No unlucky losers story, stop giving away stupid fucking goals, Everton, Southampton etc will score if we do not wake up.
Not Tims fault but losing at home to stoke and Swansea could be telling.
We can only despair on the previous results.
Keep the faith,
if we do not make it the pain will be short as we will be back and maybe after the crap of the last few years we could enjoy the ride.

I admire you optimism.  I however have little faith we'd be back anytime soon.

It hasn't for any of the previous seasons when we were apparently nailed on to go down at a similar point in the season.

That was Aston Villa as well.

When you draw at home to Sunderland, palace lose at home to Swansea, stoke and get pissed all over away at Hull quite apart from the other gash that has been served up this season then it was always going to be our most difficult escape task of all.

Dave this feels different I think everyone acknowledges that or maybe not.

Without the cup run I think the panic levels would be far higher.
The cup has been a distraction not just to us fans but also the players and manager.

It hasn't finished tonight, no, but looking at the table, it's not looking too fantastic at the moment.

Obviously I'm going to temper it by saying we are playing some very decent stuff so there's still a good chance and I honestly think Sunderland surviving above us would be ridiculous

And that's just it. Things are really going against us and it means it's really important that we beat Everton.

Yeah, unlike all the others (Lambert's first season aside), this feels like we are playing well and getting good results late on rather than being shit and always losing.
