Fair play to Bournemouth but seriously a ground that holds 12,000!? How the hell is that going to work in the PL.
I suspect they will become a novelty item .

I think the significance of ground-size will pale slightly when every club is trousering £100 million a year off the TV companies.

I don't disagree on that front. I meant more around ticket demand, safety etc. and also via global TV marketing appeal / PL brand damage . Let's hope they have a few hundred Ultras Sky can get some Mic's under.

If the ground is safe to hold 12,000 they will get a safety certificate for 12,000 and give away clubs approximately 1,200. The Premier League's 'brand' will be no more damaged by them than it was by Wigan.

Bournemouth have been fantastic, all season. All credit to them.
Assuming we stay up I'm happy it's Bournemouth (good night out) and Watford (easy to get to) coming up. Just hope now it's my 2nd team Boro who win the play offs (night out Yarm)

Nah hope Derby get their act together and win the play offs so another local team and short trip.

We wont get many tickets for Bournemouth will we as the ground only holds 12,000

Let's just make sure we are in the same division first

Didn't there used to be PL league rules about stadium standards and size...or have those rules been abolished...or did they never exist in the first place?

As far as I know as long as they are safe enough then there is no problem. The smaller the club, and the smaller their ground, the better as far as i'm concerned.

The Premier League 'brand' has survived Small Heath, Stoke and Wimbledon. The way Bournemouth play football they will make it a much more attractive league.
When you look back to the situation they were in 7 or 8 years ago it's an incredible story.
Playing them again is a good omen for the Villa too - the three seasons in which we've met have seen us finish as champions, runners-up and through to an FA Cup final.
