Why do Sky feel the need to show us Liverpool fans singing that shit anthem of theirs like it was the Beatles who had just reformed or something. Just go to a bloody break and let them get on with it. We don't all go weak at the knees with awe when it comes to Liverpool you know.

I was thinking that. But then the commentator said it's the nearest home game to the Hillsborough anniversary so I think that was why. I'm pretty sure Sky don't normally do that.

Before that, I thought Neville and Carragher's analysis of the Manc derby was very insightful. Those two, especially Neville, are in a class of their own as pundits. The BBC must be gutted they can only afford Phil.

Johnson is really shit. We can exploit this as QPR did with Richardson.

Liverpool are absolutely colossal in Asia, still bigger than all except Man U, despite the recent rise of Chelsea and Man City. The time difference with England means our league is perfect for combining weekend football watching with drinking with your mates in a bar.

The only exception I have found is the Philippines where few people seem to give a shit about the Premier League. Also, in China basketball is bigger than football, though the Premier League is pretty popular ( mainly the usual suspects), but it ain't Thailand or Hong Kong.

The Scousers are 2-0 up but they don't look anything special. They're beatable.

I spend a lot of time in the Philippines and i agree with you Pat McMahon, there is not much interest in the Premier .When i first visited back in 2010 i was able to watch the Premier on cable tv, but now they show the La Liga. Basketball and Manny are the big things out here i think it is fair to say.

I don't think Phil is too bad. Certainly compared to some of the other BBC bods. Carragher doesn't sit on the fence but also doesn't go over the top like Savage. Gary Neville is far and away the best pundit in my opinion. And he certainly doesn't hold back when it comes to criticising United. After Gary Neville I think Murphy is probably the best.

Still, at least for that sort of money you know you're going to get a good view.

Oh.
