  He started at centre-back for Scotland on Sunday, although Gibraltar did score their first ever goal in proper competition. Just saying like.... :-)

• According to Physioroom Lowton's injured as well. A few defenders are due to be back by the weekend but I haven't heard anything about who's back in training, and there's  still plenty of time for Vlaar to pick up another calf injury between now and Saturday - probably while getting on the team bus.

• We all know that "doubtful" can be translated as "definitely won't be playing" if it relates to Vlaar or "will almost certainly start and score" if it concerns an opposition player.
