I'm still lost though on what he is doing that is so unforgiveable? He's kept on winning with his style. I'm missing something here on why that is so horrific?

Well they had the perfect mix of power and skill imo

Schweinsteiger and Martinez in CM

Robben Ribery and Muller supporting 3

Mandzukic up front (who could still have been replaced by Lewandowski, obviously)

Now they just fart about with it too much - would that team above have been destroyed by Madrid 5-0 on aggregate last season?

And before you ask, no I'm not Tim Sherwood

Yeah, Guardiola's all fart and no shit. Not like his teams have ever scored any goals or won any trophies.

He's ruining Bayern with them walking the league and maintaining their position as one of the elite sides in Europe. Unforgiveable.

Haha. They'd walk that league with Lambert in charge. Fact remains that the side who won the CL would dominate this tika-taka shite

Tiki Taka shite?  Yeah, balls to that.  Get it to the winger to swing it in for the big man.  That's how you win trophies in Europe...

You're missing nothing TV, only the joke.

Of all the 'big' clashes Sky try to hype, that game is often the best to watch for both goals and incidents. Gerrard, Jones, Skrtel. I don't like either team so I cheer them both on when they kick each other. I also can't remember members of a a crowd leaning over onto the touchline to restrain one of their own players to stop him from doing something stupid before.

I became Chelsea's biggest fan yesterday afternoon. On top of wanting them to beat Hull for Villa's benefit it was the last game of a roll up I needed to win. It was very exciting when Hull pulled two goals back and I needed Chelsea to score again without conceding. Although that wasn't quite how I was thinking when Hull equalised. 'Just my f***ing bas***d luck!' was more along the lines of what I was thinking. Although when I had composed myself a strange Zen like calmness took over me and I was convinced Chelsea would win, whereas I usually presume the worst.

I was asked yesterday in between cooking the dinner and only getting occasional glances of the game who I wanted to win.  The only answer I could give is that I wanted both to lose.  Strangely though, once Liverpool equalized I wanted them to get another.

When I was a kid I hated Liverpool and disliked United. That has been reversed over the years. The glory hunters when I was at school were Liverpool fans. Although they never tried to duck out of the fact they were glory hunters. Most United fans tend to claim to have a relative from Manchester. They know what they are.

Messi is rightly lauded for his mazy dribbles, but his threaded passes for his teammates esp Neymar and Suarez are  as near perfection as you can get.

To be fair Manchester does include the whole of Yorkshire and Lancashire according to the media, so there's a good chance that they have family from there.

QPR must be gutted, couldn't beat an Everton side that had just been thumped and had to travel 5 thousand miles back and forth from Kiev midweek. If they get relegated I think they'll have to pay a huge fine or face relegation to the Conference.

You can keep your Pele, Maradonna and Ronaldo; Messi is the best player ever.

I found myself standing in front of the TV yesterday. I can't deal with all the other teams and watching them is only mildly less stressful than listening to them.

I popped 402 on just as Costa scored and thought, job done, so popped Elementary on. When the wife's phone rang I thought I would look back tosee if it was 3 or 4 yet, only to be aghast that Hull had equalised.

I then saw the last 5 minutes standing a foot in front of my TV muttering away to my wife's amusement.

We need to be solidly mid-table next season in between Swansea and Southampton. I can’t take another relegation battle.

Too right.  Wanting Chelsea to win and at the same time checking on how QPR are faring is not how supporting Aston Villa should be.

I'm beginning to lean that way too, although the generations are relative.
