Well there you go, the Chelsea ground  staff have more class than the team and manager put together

Fantastic.  Diego Costa at the end epitomises Chelsea perfectly, those two deserve each other.

Hope Paris win the trophy. Good team. Not exactly built on a budget  but great to watch.

Jose, jose, whats the score

Graeme Souness has just really launched into the Chelsea cheating tonight, epitomised by Costa running 50 yards to join in the "protests" about Ibrahimovic's tackle.

I like football.

I'd gone off it, but we're friends again now.

Carragher eulogising now. They don't get it any of them. The league isn't competitive because all the top 4 teams have all the best players. They don't need to try too hard in this league because it's an unlevel playing field. To be better in Europe you need your domestic league to be more competitive.  Reap what you sow.

Doubt it. Talk of bidding war with ITV and Sky means he will be better off. No justice in this world when some guy just spouts controversial nonsense to make a name for himself. Shame as Top Gear is still a decent watch

And yet you could argue that our league is more competitive  than most top leagues in Europe

PSG have even less competition in Ligue 1 than Chelsea do in England. There isn't a single team with even a tenth of PSG's budget in France.

Be interesting to see what impact this season has on the UEFA coefficients. At the moment England, Germany and Spain have four CL places, with Italy on three.

If Juventus get past Dortmund and four of the five Italian clubs left in the Europa League get through, we might find that Premier League teams are battling for third rather than fourth at some point in the next couple of years.

I don't think that necessarily. The top 7/8 are probably closer in quality terms than they were ten years ago, thanks to Spurs and Man City mainly.

I actually just think that the Premier League clubs' model - buy individuals, hope they make the difference, run around a lot - is working less well than it used to against European models. There are more good players than ever before, and if a club like Dortmund sell one for £40m they can get another load in for much, much less. The big clubs are wasting huge amounts of money on players who are not £20m better than their replacements at their old clubs. Also, clubs like PSG have the money to challenge the existing money clubs, which upsets things further.

Can't happen soon enough.
