I worry about their visit to Loftus Road three days after they've been in Kiev. I just know they'll kill themselves against us, too.

I'd fancy is to beat Everton at home.

A win up at Sunderland and all of a sudden they're looking down the barrel

Big time, even if we go ahead up there their fans will turn on Poyet.

Complete lack of quality in their side without Johnson.

To be fair to Poyet he has being left a shambles with the likes of Keane, Bruce, MON and Di Canio buying a host of random players, he blundered getting in Rodwell but apart from that its been mostly young and cheap for him.

With their squad Id expect them to be down fighting relegation.

Can Sunderland repeat what they did last season?

If Defoe can score more frequently, then yes.

But - to state the bleedin' obvious - if they beat us we're looking a bit sick again..

We need to keep our players injury-free and off the yellow cards and display the type of intensity we showed on Tuesday, for every game. A tough ask.

£80,000 per week for Jermain Defoe is neither young nor cheap.

I suppose relatively speaking, based on his wage per goal scored he will prove a lot cheaper than Altidore  ;D

I can't see them beating a couple of the top teams like they did late last season. Plus Johnson pulled out a few decent performances and goals around then if I remember right.

Nice choice of words but I don't think he'll be pulling out anything any time soon.

Apart from his scheduled appearance at the Junior Mackem Easter Egg Hunt.
