Everton aren't out of this either. Another loss today. You wonder much the Europa is taking out of them.

Will this put Chelsea ahead of us trophy wise?

No because most of their trophies have been bought with dirty blood and oil money, so it doesn't really count.

Don't think so.  It's infuriating to think they have been allowed to bankroll their way to nearly drawing level with us, though.

This will put us level pegging on 20  trophies each. The ttitle will put them ahead. The FA cup will equalise.

Any trophy won by Chelsea after 2003 isn't worth anything.

To a certain extent any team that's ever won stuff has spent more than their competitors.

Villa, Derby, Forest, Everton and Leeds outspent their competitors when winning league titles? Or are you just referring post 1992?

You may be correct, but when I see Chelsea or Man City lifting a trophy, it's a feeling of 'so what? You've paid for that, not earned it'

Let's hope Abramovich pisses off Putin in some way.

He already has. Buying Chelsea was a convenient way of protecting himself.

That really was a very one sided final.

I'm a bit like that, when one of these super rich clubs wins yet another trophy I struggle to recognise the achievement whilst the media fall over themselves of how fantastic they are.

Has anyone seen the gash in Stephen Ireland's leg from the tackle by Figueroa at the weekend? As much as I dislike Ireland that was a really bad tackle and the injury is horrendous.

Ireland injury - not for the squeamish or if you faint at the sight of blood

I'm not sure what's more stomach churning, that gash or seeing that Ireland shaves his legs.

Jeez, that's pretty horrendous stuff.

I almost feel sorry for him!

Crazy that Figueroa - or any other player - cannot be punished retrospectively for tackles like that.
