Great, that's all we need. Leicester breathing down our neck
That's not a worry. The issue is still us winning some games and getting away from bottom 3. Leicester will be where they are when the fat man(!) sings!

by the weekend we could be well in it, as in BOTTOM
Sherwood did say in his midweek Press Conference that there is only one way to go so maybe he was talking about a position two weeks into his role!

Keeps Everton in he mix I guess. Five points difference and with us still to play them to make it 2. Very, very tight, all the more reason to get some confidence back with a spawny win.

That was my initial reaction, but then again we were fortunate to beat them last week, so maybe they aren't as bad as we all think. They are made of sterner stuff than us if they win this one.

There is usually one team cut adrift by mid March. It could be us this season

The thing about sides at the bottom is that they are there for a reason. Consistently poor but have the ability now and again to get a surprise result. Now our issue is that on form we must be the worst of those sides. We simply have to find a win in the next two otherwise the gap to 16th or 17th will start to widen and it will be too large to close.

Good. Everton aren't out of it at the bottom, but a point is better for them than Leicester.

All those in the bottom are all at least trying to scrap with the exception of us. Were not trying in comparison.

How were we fortunate to beat Leicester? They were quite easily the poorest side to play at Villa Park and we have been playing there all season.

Lukaku has been better than Benteke which isn't saying much this season, but it's amazing how both young rising stars have really faded in the past 9 months or so.

I think we are trying. We're just not very good right now and we are lacking belief that we can get out of it. Not a good place to be that's for sure.

Not much in the game, they could easily have had a couple more. Which is a worry considering they are rock bottom

Mignolet; Skrtel, Lovren; Can; Ibe, Henderson, Allen, Markovic; Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling

Brendan Rodgers going with a new 2-8-0 formation.

Probably still score more than us with 3 forwards

:(
