Ashley Young won a million penalties for us like that back in the day.

There's enough there for a penalty.

Yeah it's called diving, he used to dive for us.

Which is why so many of us were glad to see him go.

It's cheating.

Enough there for a penalty? It's missing that crucial ingredient required for a foul; I.e. one player actually coming into some sort of contact with the other.

It's a horrible dive.

I'm so glad that Rooney drives England forward. He has lead us to so much glory in the last 10 years as an England player and has shown up in all major competitions.

Dowd conjured up a decent hat trick for them there.

Rooney so in the way of play he had to jump out of the way of the ball.
Fellaini all over the defender.
Rooney dragging his foot looking for contact.

Can anyone imagine the reverse happening, PNE winning a penalty like that at Old Trafford.

No, me neither.

Correct.
How the "experts" can justify shite like that beggars belief!

I actually have sympathy for Rooney in this case, he knicked the ball away from Stuckmann, saw he was still swinging for the ball and was going to clean Rooney who had to evade that.

To me it's a little different to Suarez v us which absolutely was cheating.

LMAO the ball almost hit Rooney but he;s not interfering. They make it up as they go along.

Watching the replay I don't think he was hindering the keeper's eye line.

But the keeper would have had half an eye on Rooney right in front of him as the shot came in, so surely by definition he has interfered with the play?
Not only that he moves to avoid contact  and that is "being active".

Evading means you collapse both legs and fall prostrate onto your hands? I call it cheating.

Really?
So free kicks are given now for something that might happen if....?
Is that a new Sky rule?

So one of the panel shows the keeper stops as the ball aims towards Rooney so he does interfere with the keepers processes, (amazingly from Phil), and so they then state that as he wasn't in front of the keeper he wasn't interfering. if Rooney wasn't there, the keeper would have dived faster, might not have got it but would have reacted faster.
