Remember that fantastic Bournemouth support that got so many comments? 545 of them went to Wigan today.

In fairness, it's a long way, and they are a small club, that's pretty good.

All this stuff about Stevie's last derby reminds me of all the palaver at Paul Bracewell's last one. Anyone else remember the blanket coverage like the opponents and neutrals actually gave a shit? No? Me neither.

Leicester seem to have been absolutely mugged by Palace, that will knock any remaining fight out of them. Hull having the killer of the Milner goal, will knock any remaining fight out of them. QPR losing Austin for the season (possibly) will knock any remaining fight out of them. Plus Burnley are shit.

We are staying up I said we are staying up.

Plus Nigel Pearson is not handling the pressure well at all.

Reminds me of the time Sky interviewed Tony Daley outside the ground and didn't have a clue who he was.

Quote
A BBC reporter got quite the shock as he interviewed members of the public ahead of this afternoon's Merseyside derby.

The Beeb's man was asking older punters whether they remembered the 1967 clash between the city rivals, an FA Cup fifth round tie at Goodison Park which was beamed back to Anfield.

He hit the jackpot when one gentleman answered, "I do. I played in it!"

It was ex-Reds goalkeeper Tommy Lawrence, who represented Liverpool between 1957 and 1971.

Tommy Lawrence. The Flying Pig. Excellent goalkeeper with a bit of weight on him.

It is disgraceful they are being shown on the Lord's day in the first place. Sunday TV should be about Morning Worship and Songs Of Praise.

And Space 1999.

I am going for a 'cheer on anyone who plays against Leicester, QPR, Burnley or Hull' policy for the foreseeable future.

I'd like to know when Darren Fletcher turned into Socrates? If he'd played for anyone else nobody would give a shit about him.  Even our midfield made him look anonymous in December. Sky going OTT for a change.

And that's going well! The applause for Jeff Astle has just started my old man off on a Mexico 1970 rant. He never forgave him for missing a sitter in the quarters after coming on for Bobby Charlton.

Burnley winning 1-0

If Man City hadn't scored the last minute goal yesterday, we'd be in the bottom three in the "as it stands" table.
