This is the shot from which Vertonghen scored at the end of the Spurs match today. Pantilimon had gone up for a corner.

It was ruled offside. Spot the possible problem here.

Sorry I see no problem. A spurs goal was disallowed.

What is this "scored" you speak of?

I bet Jimmy Greaves didn't think that one was offside. I still remember Jimmy boy!

Copped a nice 10/1 acca on Liverpool (hangs head in shame), Palace, United, Chelsea and Spurs.

Nice start on a 15/1 acca too with Stoke and Southampton winning. Waiting on West Ham, Man City and Everton tomorrow.

You can't be offside if the ball is passed to you or, you shoot and score from your own half.

I saw a picture of a bed sheet at Oldham saying "where's the 70,000?" Referencing the Ched Evans petition. I think they have a good point.

Since Christmas I've spent about two weeks in total in Nottinghamshire. In overheard conversations, the general consensus of opinion apropos Stuart Pearce is that any other manager would have been sacked by now. Still glad they beat Derby today and the way that they did.

Surely, like the rest of us on here, you were perfectly qualified to dispute the any other manager would have been sacked line.

Even funnier that the bloke who scored the winner was born in Derby. He'll be popular whenever he goes home.

Quote
Scunthorpe United lost both of their recognised goalkeepers before half-time with broken arms as Bristol City earned a fourth straight win.

Sam Slocombe was replaced after eight minutes by Jamie Severn, who was hurt denying Matt Smith in a one-on-one.

Defender Andy Boyce then took over as keeper, having already conceded the penalty that allowed Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to convert from the spot.
