What a gutter for Southport. 1 down to a penalty in the last minute of added on time.

Hope we can win tomorow and then draw blues in the next round
It would be the most exciting thing to have happened in a good while

No no no no no no no. We'd be on a total hiding to nothing. I'd be quite happy if we never played them ever again.

Yes there is nothing good that can come out of playing the. An unnecessary risk in every way.

I would like to see Lambert replaced. The quickest way of that happening may well be going out of the cup to Small Heath. However, I do not want him replaced badly enough to wish for that scenario.

We need to grow some balls chaps

If we play them and beat them its expected so nothing to crow about, if we play them and loose we'll never hear the end of it. Add the high possibility of trouble into the mix and I fail to see the positive side.

Add me to the long list of people who can live the rest of my days without that fixture.

My fear is it would be a defining game for the whole season:

win, as expected, and we'd go an as before...sailing along with little direction...

lose, and all spirit and fight would be knocked out of the players and fans, the wind gone from our sails...then we'd slide, inevitably, beneath the waves.

I'm neither afraid of them on nor off the pitch. I'm not afraid of Middlesbrough town centre either. I'd just rather not see either ever again.

So basically you are scared to play them in case we lose
