Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was confronted in his dugout by a supporter who was later arrested during his side's 2-0 defeat at Southampton.

The fan remonstrated with Wenger, 65, late on but was led away by stewards and detained by Hampshire Police.

Southampton say the man is an Arsenal fan who was sat with home supporters.

The incident comes just over three weeks after Wenger was abused by Arsenal fans while boarding a train following defeat at Stoke City.
