Has there been a team who's had as much luck in the first half of a season as Spurs?

Most of the games I've seen them they've been rubbish and battered at 0-1/1-1 and then somebody gets sent off or Eriksson wins the game for them.

Worth noting despite all that they're only 7th, down from where they've been in recent seasons. Next two are Man. United and Chelsea at home so they'll get found out when they play proper teams.

I was thinking the exact same thing whilst watching MOTD.  Our match versus them looks pretty representative of their season.  Bastards.

Is there a luckier footballer in the league today than Vertonghen?

Surely someone else must have noticed Ferdinand (the former England centre half) walk up to Giroud after his indiscretion and grab the back of his neck. The MOTD cameras caught it in all its glory.

Unless I am wrong isn't that a sending off offence?  Raised hands and all that.

Yes I saw that. And he gritted his teeth as he did it. He looked quite menacing . I hope the FA take some retrospective action although as the ref didn't see it I'm not sure they can.

They will do nothing. Although it is there to see in full colour they will do nothing. I bet the papers will bring the subject up today though!

Had it been one of our players they would have wanted to relegate us to the conference.

Yes everything is going against us.

I imagine they will have transformed into Barcelona by the time they play us under the guidance of Paul Jewell or Curbishley or Irvine who'll be fired by Albion by then and we'll be washed away by all of their new found zeal and euphoria.

Controversial but Irvine might be a good assistant manager should he be sacked.  On MOTD both Shearer and p Neville were saying what a good coach he is.

Possibly a Reaction from the players to the ousting of McCoist and the Ashley / Lambiaz factor
