Never a red card in fairness to Markovic. Liverpool looked a rabble before it anyway, hope Basle sow it into them now.

I thought it was a red. He looked for the player and went for him. The intent was there.

According to Lawro some of the best fans in the world are starting to leave.  Just under a quarter of an hour to go.

Disgraceful from Clive Tyldesley and Townsend. Just because the visitors refuse to roll over for their "great Anfield night". Bordering on jingoism at times.

It's a really strange thing for Markovic to have done - he missed the other guy, but I can't see what else he would have been doing except swinging for him - he even looks to see where he is beforehand!

I don't know if I'd go as far as 'disgraceful', but the commentary is very shite, although typical of ITV really.

Great free kick.  I wish we had someone who could do that on a regular basis.

In all fairness that's a brilliant free kick.
Have stopped tittering quite as much as earlier.

I've heard more measured commentary on Sky's fanzone.

Apparently, according to Chiles 'That was painful even for the neutral'. No, it wasn't.

Have recommenced tittering.

Chiles: "As is tradition the Liverpool fans keep the noise going" (or something like that) ...they didn't in September - L'pool 0 Aston Villa 1

Titter.

Surely, even he knows that most fans couldn't give a s**t about what L'pool do! Except 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' fans obviously!

Sorry...he's doing his job isn't he?
Bulls**tting for a living.

I've heard more measured commentary on Sky's fanzone.

Mark Lawrenson was the co-commentator on Irish TV. Nauseating wouldnt describe it.

Some goal from Gerrard. Basle butchered numerous good counter attacks in the second half, should have made it comfortable.

Not sure how the likes of Lallana arent even getting off the bench in these kind of games. Rodgers seems to be really struggling at the signings lark, some terrible flops so far in his few years there - http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/oct/31/liverpool-signings-brendan-rodgers

The patronising assumption that we will swallow all the overblown hyperbole and bullshit really gets my goat.

As a football fan, the fact that Basle turned up, cut through it all and played the better, more measured football delights me. As for the Basle player cheating, you live by the sword etc.
