On 5Live: Alan Green's comments because Bayern fans and the Citeh fans adjacent to them are standing: "Most football supporters stand at games these days." Really?
And a snidy, remark about the moves for safe-standing, implying how irresponsible it is "even after Hillsborough".
The tragedy of Hillsborough wasn't caused by fans standing Mr Green, which you'd know if you had read/listened to any of the reports regarding it. They were very public, very loud and very clear.
How ill-informed can an "experienced" commentator/expert be?
Twunt!
Mr Green was asked to examine the safe standing roadshow at Villa Park. He said "I was at Hillsborough" and walked away ignoring everything else.
I know Dave...amfy pointed him out to me.
He loves that cocooned, narrow-minded little world that is AlanGreenland.
Alan Green can go ***ing do one.
Maybe SAF was right to ban the twunt after all
Another gem from Tyldesley, referencing City's 3-2 win against QPR in 2012 as "the greatest escape in English football history".
Some bloke called Messi now top all time CL goal scorer. How did he sneak that record?
I think CiŁy represent pretty much everything I detest about football. Stealing villas best players , paying wages of Ł300k + a week , a glossy new 50,000 identikit stadium , Gary Cook, a stadium named after a foreign airline . Just gross .
I went to there new stadium at the end of last season for the first time, they were just about to be crowned champions we lost 4 nill
It's probably the most soulless of all the new stadiums I've visited,
even worse than Arsenal
The atmosphere wasn't bad, it just didn't feel real, I can't explain it, but as daft as this sounds I wasn't jealous
I'll whisper it quietly, but I can easily imagine Chelsea having won more European Cups than us by the end of this season

I keep saying he's gonna be quite good
No. Barcelona this year. Hopefully.
City have too many Arsenal duds that never did particularly well in the chumps league in their squad. Why would it be any different for them?

Couldn't agree more. Everything about it - even the weather, the massively expensive snacks and beer, and the unpleasant, arrogant stewards/police (+ result!) made it an experience I don't want to repeat. But probably will!
The referee in the Man City game seems to be using our telephone for a whistle.
I sound like a crotchety old sod here, but it makes me really mad when I see people wearing Man City gear when I'm out and about. The person in question may have had a season ticket for years or followed them through the leagues and back, but I will automatically assume they're a glory hunter.

Funny how you see more of them about though isn't it?
Please not Lampard to score. Tyldesley might explode though so that would be a plus. Or he might shout Roooney!
