• Currently in stockport where I work 3 days a week and am with some died in the wool time served city fans. This is the 2nd big champions league game where when asked several season ticket holders are not going. When asked why they all have said it brings out the worst kind of " new" city fan and they prefer the league and fa cup. I must admit although it will be a long time till we ever have that problem I used to watch all the games but now find most of them quite boring and very "samey" I mean how many times have city already played Munich etc.  Maybe the empress new clothes of chumps league is not what we are lead to believe.

• I think this is why I so much prefer the City fans to the red slags. The City fans seem to appreciate what they have, for now, until the weight of expectation takes over. Much more grounded mob than their neighbours.
