Bruce rightly criticises the decision to send off Rameriz and also mentions the Benteke sending off as similar.

Well done Steve Bruce. Measured, thoughtful criticism of decisions that are ruining the game for the most important people, the spectators. For the second away game running, Spurs up to their dirty tricks of surely bringing the game into disrepute but, unsurprisingly, no-one seems to mention that and when they do they run the risk of a ban. No-one mentioned that Vertoghen, apart from his potato sack impression, seemed to walk all over Ramirez, which is what provoked the kick out. And why can't linesmen just run the line instead of the scene stealing they so often do. So well done Bruce. I must stop getting so upset about injustices to other teams. Our situation is plenty bad enough to be worrying about.

Certain clubs continue to get the rub of the green, even when they regress to being as shit as the rest and outside their much vaunted Sky spunkathon slots in the top 5.

I was watching the Palace Liverpool game earlier and I've decided Skertel dosen't defend, he just tries to foul. Liverpool are also completely lost without Suarez. His biting moment in the World Cup has cost them. Which is nice.

I'm not sure about that. I don't think biting Chiellini is what made Barcelona want to sign him.

No, I mean it speeded up his departure from Liverpool. You could argue he'd still be there if he hadn't had that other moment of madness at the World Cup.

I hope that Palace win at home today is a one off, of course it will be the away team looking for an upset on the 2nd December ;)

Liverpool really are dire this season.  I am starting to wonder if them, Man Utd, or Arsenal will finish in the top four! 8)

Hopefully none of the above.

Just need for Abramovich to be have all his Russian assets frozen and be declared bankrupt, and the Man City lot to get bored and we might just have a league worthy of being called a competition.

My mate to the women's International at Wembley today.  Hard to believe that they have a even worse record against the German's than the men's team ::)

I still don't see why.

Barcelona would still have wanted to sign him and he'd have still wanted to sign for Barcelona.

Why would him not being banned have changed any of that?

It certainly made it a lot easier for Liverpool to sell him without facing a backlash. They'd played hardball the year before. Admittedly, it was only Arsenal after him then rather than Barcelona. But Liverpool looked a far better prospect at the start of this season than they did the same time twelve years previously.

I don't know whether they'd have been able to hold on to him without his latest Bela Lugosi impression, but it would've been more likely I think.
