Now the scousers are in trouble. Here comes Barry B. (one of Palace's big talents according to Jan Mølby!)

I fucking love Liverpool sometimes.

When things are going awfully for us, and there is little to cheer you in the football, it is great to have Liverpool back to laugh at.

They've been hilarious for a good few seasons now. I know they had a good season last year, but even then with that Suarez nonsense, there was laughter to be had.

I don't know if maybe it is being in my mid 40s, I can remember my childhood and student years featuring Liverpool winning everything, and being, without a doubt, the luckiest team on the planet.

I absolutely hated them then and still do. The night Michael Thomas knicked the title off them with last kick of the game was one of my non Villa football high points. The Crystal Palace disaster last season was similarly brilliant.

I could very rarely, knowlingly want a Liverpool win, even though Palace winning aint good for us.
Frankly I'd rather we put things in our own hands, and furthermore Liverpool failing is greatly satisfying.

I'm happy for Palace. Staying out of the relegation zone is up to us. We deserve to be where we are, we are an awful boring predictable side.

Not a good result for us.

But so so worth it! Paulie sums it beautifully as ever as we are of a similar age. One always suspected they were a one cheat team last season and now it has been proven so! People creaming themselves about Stirling is also just another example of jumping on the bandwagon of a player who has a few good games and suddenly becomes the next saviour of English football. Still, twats in the media like Savage and Quinn would have nothing to talk about if they couldn't utter such proclamations alongside all the other drivel they spout

Agreed. And that lets us have a good laugh at Liverpool's expense which is always a healthy thing.

Fully agree. Well done Palace. Can not believe Lambert has brought us to this juncture once again.

I wouldn't bet against a team scoring eight goals tomorrow!

If you are in your 40's you'll really appreciate Liverpool being the team that many of us can remember the media realy fawning over and being the first of the true glory hunting sides that others followed. Growing up in the Indian community, especially in the late 70's and 80's I can't think many of my community who didn't follow them. It was quite strange being Villa in those days from I came from.

With every passing week of this season, Stevie "Mr Liverpool" Gerrard's slip against Chelsea when last year's Championship was theirs to lose just gets funnier and funnier.
