I'd consider it progress if we get knocked out of a cup competition by a team from only one league below us.

Citeh losing at home to Newcastle. And Silva has gone off injured. Newcastle fielding a weakened team, I don't even recognise the names of some of their players. Really annoys me how clubs who have won fuck all for yonks don't put out a near full strength side in cups. At least Stoke and Saints have fielded strong sides.

Sadly the priority for about 14 clubs in this League is finishing 17th or just above that and nothing else matters. Clubs are no longer competing as they should.

I'd like to be able to enjoy this but, sadly, I think it just guarantees another trophy win for scummy Chelsea.

I wouldn't mind Southampton winning it. certainly them more than Spuds, Chavski or Newcastle.

And having said that they've blown a 2-0 lead at Stoke.

Yes agreed. I think they will hand both their trophies to Chelski this season.

Which scout found Southampton's Pelle? And was there ever a time when he introduced him to mumbleswegoagain? And why did our club give up recruiting goalscorers after scouting injury victims Benteke and Kozak?

Pointless post of the day.

A bit idiotic to say the least.

Anyway, good win for Newcastle. I thought their Sissokho played really well and I hope Sanchez can have a similar impact with more games under his belt.

Koeman brought him from his previous club didn't he?

Hopefully two of Chelsea/Liverpool/Tottenham get drawn together so at least that's one cuntish team out.

Derby vs Chelsea
Tottenham vs Newcastle
Bournemouth vs Liverpool
Sheffield United vs Southampton.

Bournemouth will definitely become my favourite ever team if they win again.
