Ivanovic was assaulted in the penalty area in the first half and got sent off for his troubles.

I can have no sympathy for that cheating shit.  He should be sent off every game just for the crime of lining up. 

He's a ready made replacement as no1 hate figure for the classless wankers when Terry finally kicks his last opponent, and god knows they've got plenty of contenders.

He recently lost a stone or two as well didn't he? Unless he's put it back on over the summer. But even so, he's still not nearly fit enough to be refereeing professional football, let alone a Premiership game.

It's not like it was 20 years ago. The pace and levels of speed and fitness of Prem players now compared to 20 years back is much higher. The refs also need to be a little younger and fitter too. Dowd should be sunday leaguing it by now.
