Was good in World Cup as well.

Song also decent for them as they have lost once , are ahead against City and can score I'd say yes the game against them does look very tough at this point.

And we all took the piss out of Risso when he called for Alardyce to replace Lambert
We could be sitting fourth now, if only we had listened

He wouldn't be my first choice manager but in my opinion he's a much better manager than Lambert.

I think that's the point you were making at the time

How dare West Ham have the cheek to compete against the Sky 4 .What must Lambert think ?

Maybe he thinks, "So what? I've beaten Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool in the last year."

That's very true and not very difficult, I'm at the stage where I think almost anyone would be a better manager than Lambert and that no-one is more boring or plays more turgid football than we do

The fact that Allardyce seems to have changed his playing style (or coaching emphasis, I suppose?) does him credit, in my opinion. He's seemingly listened to the criticisms and responded positively to the demands of his chairmen to change the teams style of play.

Has Lambert shown any of that kind of ability or even willingness to change things? Not in my opinion.

I'd have stopped at 'maybe he thinks' though I'm not at all sure

That happens in football. West Ham will lose their next home game against an ordinary team ;)

What's that got to do with the price of fish? You suggested we never compete with the big teams. I'm just pointing out that that's completely untrue. If anything, that's where we've done best under Lambert. There's a shedload of legitimate reasons to have a pop at him, making up false ones is just tiresome.
