I always want them to lose.

Same with any English club in the CL - why would any supporter of a club not in it want to see them do well? It just creates a bigger financial barrier. It is bad news for us, not in any way positive.

Every time I hear that twat Tyldesley acting like we are genuinely all behind them, I struggle not to vomit up at least one, and sometimes both, of my kidneys.

I find myself in something of a predicament, disliking both of these horrible media darling clubs.  I can't decide which is the lesser of two evils.

Good to see UEFA acting swiftly as usual.

Europe's governing body Uefa says no rules were broken despite fans being present at CSKA Moscow's 'behind closed doors' match with Manchester City.

However, the organisation says it will review its policy to seek alternatives.

Uefa ordered CSKA to play three Champions League home games without any fans present as punishment for a series of offences including racist chanting.

However, vocal backing was given to the home side in the 2-2 draw from an attendance of 650.

That prompted criticism from City captain Vincent Kompany who said his side had been punished unfairly with their supporters also banned from the Khimki Arena.

"Why the hell do we not have any fans here? What have our fans done wrong? There's no fairness in it," he said.

A Uefa statement read: "Following the match between CSKA Moscow and Manchester City, Uefa has reviewed the officials' reports and found no breach of the conditions related to a match played behind closed doors that make part of the disciplinary decision.

"Only people who were allowed to enter the stadium (clubs delegations, media, security staff, Uefa and guests of sponsorship partners) attended the match with no record of inappropriate behaviour.

"However, Uefa is reviewing the 'behind-closed-doors' policy to see if alternative solutions could be implemented in the future."

City were pegged back on Tuesday despite taking a 2-0 lead in the first half, and are without a win from their opening three games in Group E.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admits he may look back on not signing for Real Madrid when he had the chance as a mistake but insists he would have regretted leaving Anfield far more.

At the peak of his powers the midfielder was wanted by a host of Europe's top sides, including Los Blancos, but he rejected all advances to remain with the only club he has ever known.

The 34-year-old has been accused of a lack of ambition on several occasions but he has always stressed he is happy with the choices he made.

"I think it is very flattering to be linked to a huge club like Real Madrid," he said.

"I think I had a couple of options throughout my career to go to Real Madrid but I resisted temptation because of the big connection I had to my hometown club.

"It may be something I regret further down the line by not challenging myself and having a change of scenery in a different country but I would have had a bigger regret leaving the club I love.

"I am a big fan of Madrid, they are a special club, but for me Liverpool are my number one club."

Gerrard leads his side out against the defending European champions at Anfield on Wednesday night looking to rekindle memories of the 4-0 demolition - their heaviest away defeat in Europe - they inflicted on the Spanish club in March 2009.

Then they had Fernando Torres rampaging across the forward line and terrorising the Real defence but this time around the Reds captain admits victory would be classed as unexpected considering their inconsistent form this season.

Listening to the build up to the match on the radio tonight and the presenters went quite so we could all listen to "you'll never walk alone" before kick off like it was The Beatles reuniting for a one off gig. Are we all supposed to listen in awe to their wonderful fans?
