If Vlaar plays on Saturday would we then want him going off to join up with the Dutch?
Noooooo. As Clampy said a player should prove his fitness at club level before he is picked again for his country ;)

With perhaps our best position being potentially attacking midfielders, I'd like to see Welbeck become our main man up top as opposed to Sturridge, whos a bit too selfish. I felt we lacked a bit of a focal point in the world cup. We'd be tidy up to a point, and the likes of Sterling and to a lesser extent, Barclay looked lively, but you need someone up top who can bring people into play and will also work hard. Welbeck can do that. He's been wasted so much as a left winger for Utd and England over the years. I'm one of those in the camp that thinks the Gooners will be the making of him.
He's not a great player by any stretch but he's still got a decent scoring record for England, and I think he's the one that will get the best out of our attacking mids. Plus if fat boy Rooney is seemingly undroppable, I think have Welbeck ahead of him suits him more. Sturridge could be a very good impact player, or alternatively would work well alongside Welbeck in a two.

I half watched the spurs game. Funny because there was a really late equaliser, hilarious because of how bitter Tim Sherwood was in the studio.

Cant believe the Newcastle fans are targetting Pardew's family now.  Can understand them wanting out, but its going to far now

Sunderland-Stoke a surprising candidate for MOTD opener right now 8)

West Brom are doing well so far at Liverpool.  I said it a while back I don't think this Beggies side is too bad, it is just the manager which is the gamble.  Am pleased that Lambert is getting a start for Liverpool.

Sky are falling away about Wenger and Mourinho and the classless twats they are.

I'd be happy playing that Everton team in 2 weeks, no doubt McCarthy, Coleman and Mirallas will all make miraculous recoveries for our game.

Think Man. United will win 3-1.

They're up to 4th as it stands.

Good job they have Man. City and Chelsea in 2/3 games to bring them down the table a bit.

They are now not 4th as Everton come back 1-1.
Loved the half hearted challenge from Falcao to stop the cross.

At a risk of cursing it (not that I particularly care who wins), Van Persie seems to have got old all of a sudden.  Haven't noticed him playing at all.

edit:  It's incredible, literally seconds after I type that they score.  At least it wasn't him.
