You should of heard Martin Tyler's. Someone who I actually have a lot of respect for. But it suits the media that Manchester United are now officially the best team in the world again.

Here in Oman we had Beglin and his statement, "Everyone wants to see a competitive Man United", where I went into a mad mans rant, "That no we fu....g dont, they could lose every game between now and when I die and I would die a happy man, if they dropped of the pools coupon with BCFC, I would dance naked in the streets:
To which I got a comment from the wife, "Who you shouting at"

Such is life

''...should have...'

Tyler has always been a Manure fan.

Henry Winter in the Torygraph yesterday was wanking over Wilshire - comparing him to Messi. Strangely he was StevieMe's biggest sychophant along with Tyldesley. Coincidentally he also has an unhealthy love in with Wilshire.

Leicester and West Ham next up, but then a run like ours at the moment if I can remember correctly what the commentators were saying yesterday.

I wouldn't mind Yanited giving Leicester or West Ham a spanking to be honest. They're far more likely to struggle and be in or around mid-table than Yanited.

There is a report in the Guardian today about Di Maria's performance, if you hadn't seen his free kick and assist for the Mata goal you would think he meant both of them rather than it being a free kick that was too high for the intended target and a mishit shot that turned into a pass.

Nor me, which is why I am glad they spanked QPR yesterday. I am still not counting my chickens about us finishing any higher than the last two seasons and so view all these results as good for us in the battle between about 12 clubs not to get relegated. I am hopeful that we may end up a battle for 8th to 10th spot with the likes of Southampton who I think we are probably most on a par with at this very early stage. I think we can finish higher than both Stoke and West Ham

Tyler has closer links with Arsenal than Newton Heath.

Ideal preperation for Rio before the game, a pitchside presentation from Booby Charlton to mark his time at the club. That will really put you in the mood for battle. Wrong time in my opinion.

With the amount of money sloshing around, it is in the media's interest to "over egg the pudding". Measured reporting does exist but is hard to find.

Jeremy Menez scores for Milan against Parma this evening

The game ended 5-4 to Milan

That is a great goal.

I wouldn't have been impressed at all had one of our players been cosying up to them before the kick off.  Load of old sentimental b******s.

I very much doubt Roy Keane would allow such to happen.  But as you say, it is sentimental old bollocks and has no place on a football field before the start of a battle.

That Ulloa fella looks very good for Leicester. You'd fancy him to get one against Utd's backline. Even as toothless as QPR were yesterday, Utd's defence didn't look entirely convincing. Blind offers them a bit more solidity in the middle now, but the CH area is still weak, and Rafael can't defend. De Gea goes a bit bonkers sometimes too.
