Another goal on the break. England have looked pretty good doing that, not so good when they have to break down a properly set up defensive alignment.

Hmmm, who does that remind us of?

How has Delph looked?

Energetic, very effective, 100% pass rate & should've had a penalty.

Pretty much. After his usual needless yellow card he looked good.

Glenn Hoddle repeatedly finding it impossible to pronounce 'counter attacking'; 'counter acting' is what Ronnie Barker did in Open All Hours, Glenn.

That kick to the head in the NFL yesterday was pretty bad but this is worse

Yep, there was a yellow card but our lad was provoked. As C&B says, needless. Stayed on to achieve greater things, though.

I'll see your kick in the head and raise you a 70 game ban for headbutting a referee

Oh and delighted to hear that Delph had a good game. You'd never believe it from the BBC and Eurosport updates and comments.

Delph was good apart from the rash challenge for the booking. Unlucky not to win a penalty. England played well. Great block by Cahill.

Well done to Luxembourg for getting a point against Belarus and stopping me winning forty quid for a one pound stake. Bitter?Me?

I've been quite impressed with John Stones in the last two games. He got caught out of position a couple of times last night but overall i think he'll turn out to be a decent player.

I hadn't seen much of him and was surprised at his inclusion but he hasn't looked out of place to be fair. I am not convinced either Jones or Jagielka are the answers to who should partner Cahill though.

I think you need to give Jones time after all he looked decent enough when played alongside Vidic or Rio but he's currently having to cope in probably the shittest Man Yew defence in the last 30 years. I'd agree on Jagielka though a decent enough solid Premiership centre back but no where near international quality.

Personally, I really rate Michael Dawson and would give him a go.
