Trouble is it's not just SNN there is a whole generations of football fans under 30 who think similarly.

Very true.  I was talking to a Chelsea fan a while back who refused to acknowledge that both us and Forest had won the European Cup, and described us as "a little tiddler of a club"

I've had a similar conversation with a Chelsea fan. There was just incomprehension on his face when I told him Forest had won the European Cup twice as many times as they had. He went straight for his phone to prove me wrong but the look of shock a few seconds later was priceless.

I try to avoid forging friendships with glory hunter fans. Should it happen, I set my stall out nice and early by talking about the likes of Kerry Dixon and Paul Lake just so they're aware that while they may have had plastic surgery, they've still got those geeky school photos at home like the rest of us.

I cannot comprehend being a fan of any team, without also being a fan of football itself. Not knowing the history of the game is a shame as well as a disgrace for any individual.

Specifically, being a Chelsea fan without knowledge of them and their rivals from the 1960s on is frankly incredible. The 1970 FA Cup Final & replay, Osgood, Harris, The East Stand bankruptcy, Ken Bates, Matthew Harding, standing on The Shed, the vast away terrace, etc etc.

Everton missing Barkley big time, their midfield suddenly looks very one paced.

Doug Rougvie is always a good one to drop in, they think you are making it up.

It doesn't really have much to do with the game itself, but a guilty pleasure when talking to Chelsea plastics is enlightening them as to how their delightful forefathers used to abuse their own black players.

I know what you mean but I still think they're playing at a level that is miles away from us. The angles on their passing and movement are things we just don't see villa do

Crap defensively today though

Oh yeah they'll finish comfortably ahead of us I'm not disputing that. They will be a fair bit off top 4 this year though.

Oh, and Mickey Droy.

Damien Matthews. I almost always know more old Chelsea players than any Chelsea fan I know

I think they will be fairly near but only because that isn't really very difficult in a league where there are only 6 good teams (and that's only if you include Man Utd)

This promised to be a fascinating match between two smart and talented teams with excellent coaches and a lesson to inferior teams. Suffice to say, I hope that our lot are locked in a room being forced to watch and learn, in preparation for tomorrow.

Bit of a decent match going on here. 2-3 now.
