28,000 at forest today ! We'll struggle to match that at times this season

Yeah, me too.

I reckon we'll get about 7,000 most weeks, and they'll all be really sad - they'll arrive in a funereal manner, dressed in black, like goths or something, with hangdog expressions, breaking into tears every few minutes.

Actually, for some matches, we'll probably register a negative attendance.

Bearing in mind how poor we've been at home the last couple of seasons it's a wonder we managed to attract average attendances of 11,000 or something like that. I suppose the away support made up most of it.

Forest are absolutely amazing and their fans are brilliant. In fact every other of the 91 league clubs are fantastic. It really upsets me that we let the side down by being so unremittingly unpraiseworthy. Why, oh why do we besmirch the great game so? Let's just pack up and apologise to the rest of football. All 3000 of us.

If only we could attract crowds like those at Derby, Forest, Brighton and some other random team who get more than 20,000 a week.

As The Doc said: "if you put eleven Villa shirts on the line to dry, nobody would turn up".

Fickle.

Went to see Harrogate Toen vs Tamworth today. Glad to say the home side played the Tammy's off the park in the 0-0 draw. ;D

Considering the money that Harrogate are throwing about I'll take that.

See Fulham struggling.  If they hung onto most of the squad from last season they would be laughing.  Hangeland even at 33 could be a good Championship player.   The manager just looks like he wants to be on the beach somewhere, he is lost at sea!

"I just want people to show me and my team some respect. Van Gogh is a decent painter now isn't he but when he was alive he was just a bloke with half an ear."

Cabbage muncher Ian Holloway - August 9th 2014

The full quote was. "I just want people to show me and my team some respect. But it's me isn't it. Van Gogh is a great painter now isn't he but when he was alive he was just a bloke with an ear and a half. They used to call him ninety minutes"!

Luke Moore scored a late winner for Toronto against Columbus Crew. Five goals for them now so far this season.

I'm thinking of starting a crowd funded campaign to pay to hire 10 planes a week, one to fly over each Premier League game towing a banner carrying an apology for our crimes against the game.

Also, I see that *insert name of newly promoted team who have a relatively small ground, and whose fans haven't seen them play PL football for years and years here* have got almost as many season ticket holders as we do.

When we play them at our place and inevitably get about 35k, and they start singing "Premier League, you're having a laugh" or "Your ground's too big for you", frankly, I am going to join in.
