Barcodes are going to be tough to beat on Sat, i'd play Bent because we'll need to take our chances when we get them.

I wouldn't be upset with a draw v Newcastle as we generally beat hull at home

7 points from three games and then a break to get benteke and kozak fitter, plus one or two signings in. That'd do me very nicely thanks

Sky have just interviewed Mourinho ahead of their game with Burnley tomorrow and he is still moaning about the injustices at Villa Park last season! I really hope that when we play them we can stuff them again

That's amazing, a bird shitting in Ashley Youngs mouth as he flaps his gums off.

BRILLIANT

Newcastle look beatable by us next weekend. We'll need to be physical and robust against the likes of cabella. But I think they look beatable. We'll obviously have to put in a better attacking display with more creativity on show

They look beatable every year its just we rarely seem to actually do it.  Having won yesterday I agree that a draw wouldn't be the worse result in the world and then aim to beat Hull, this is Villa we are talking about of course so things may not run that smoothly.

Home games don't suit us. We are unable to take a game to teams easily. I think we should brace ourselves for another roller coaster season tbh.

We're going to smash Newcastle so bad they'll disband in shame and we'll be new favourites for the title.

That is partly down the current manager.  We looked strong at home under MON because I think he really rammed home the message to the players of their importance, and had them pumped up to make a fast start.  Of course it is still early so there shouldn't be too much of reaction either way, but if we stay unbeaten after the next two then I will be pretty pleased.

He has such a great memory and apparent fixation with us that I am amazed the refereeing decisions in the reverse fixture appear to have slipped his mind.

We weren't that strong under MON at home. Better than recently obviously but nothing special. For a team that cost as much as ours did to win 7, 10, 7 and 8 at home was not good enough overall. We relied a lot on away form to finish 6th each year.

& then the Hull game becomes a B6 lockout.

We've never been particularly strong at home.

Considering we were always in the top six our home form was mediocre at best under mon, for pretty similar reasons to subsequently

Agree, mainly because the personnel we have had over the past couple of seasons just can't play that way (particularly in the final third).  I'm hoping Joe Cole can provide the link we've been missing, if he ever manages to get on the pitch!!
