As for Nillis I was using the criteria of the best players who have played for us not those that have played the best for us. Didn't read the opening post to see whether my criteria fits.

If you're going by that Criteria, where's Ginola and Schmeichel?

Hang on hang on hang on

Anyone not picking yorke, or benteke, or southgate seriously needs putting in the loony bin

Bosnich - Delaney McGrath Barrett Staunton - Merson Milner Barry young - yorke - benteke

God I'd love to see yorke and benteke upfront together. They'd be incredible.

Am I missing a very subtle joke here?

No, definitely not

Centre back for what - four consecutive years or more? During which time we always had one of the best defences in the league

I loved Martin Laursen for example but we never actually had that great a defence with him. Lionheart. But positionally not great.

Not read the previous efforts so apologies if it's been duplicated but here goes.

Bosnich, Staunton, Mellberg, McGrath, Delaney, Barry, Merson, Taylor, Young, Benteke, Yorke.

Benteke's still got a way to go until he gets into my team.  Carew would be first choice, with Saunders on the bench.
Another 20 goals in a season for Benteke then I'd have a problem on my hands.

It is the best of the Prem era. Sid only played in 11 league games. I'd guess that he'd make it into most people's all time 11.

Hmm good point. I meant to! I definitely didn't mean to pick Barrett at CB.
