Update notifications

My Hotmail (Outlook) account is no longer getting notification updates.

Hotmail. That was when there were only three channels and you had to stand for God save the Queen at the flicks.

Happening again.

Everything has come through all at once again. At precisely 09:02 which was the exact time they all came through last time this happened.

Happening yet again.

All back to normal.

Playing up once more.

Again, all came through just after 9am. Bizarre.

What is most likely happening is that cron scripts are failing.

In layman's terms, these are small programs which run at specified intervals to do relatively simple tasks. As soon as hotmail or outlook or microsludge is involved however, nothing is simple unless you using their development framework which open source software such as runs this site most certainly is not, and it is probably more surprising that it ever works at all.

Legion, why do you keep on using it if it's that rubbish?

Is the issue with Outlook.com, though? I get emails from elsewhere. If it is definitely that I will change it in the New Year.
