Villa win programme awards.

Good news from Villa Park and congratulations to all involved.
Villa News & Record victorious.
Villa have won two prestigious matchday programme awards.
The Villa News & Record has been handed the gong of 'Most Improved Programme' by the Independent View, the magazine of the NPC - Northern Programme Club.
It also took home the prize of 'Best Feature' for Villa Vault - a comprehensive look-back at previous years of the claret and blues in the Premier League era.
Nathan Watson of Independent View wrote: "The Villa News & Record has scooped this main award as editor Rob Bishop and writer Dan Harrison steadily create a programme that resembles the multi-award winner of the 1970s and 1980s.
"Being with Trinity Mirror has enabled them to use the vast amount of historical content from this publisher's library.
"In terms of the 'Best Feature' category, it proved to be the closest run of this year's competition.
"There were a number of high-class entries but the Villa Vault proved to be a worthy winner.
"It is an outstanding 11-page feature that covers a number of various topics relating to the day's opponents and other past matches spanning a number of years.
"Collectors will also be impressed with Decade by Decade, where Dave Bridgewater takes us through some classic programmes from the Fifties to the Noughties.
"The pages are bordered by a historical-looking design that separates this feature from the rest of the programme.
"It is quite simply a stunning feature that is a worthy winner of this award."
Programme Editor Rob Bishop said: "We here in the marketing and communications team are delighted to be recognised.
"There is a lot of hard work that goes into every issue so to receive two awards is really fantastic news."

I remember when it was the programme and not a glossy advertising vehicle.

We'll take any small victory we can get right now. And its funny because unless it has improved in the last couple of seasons I actually don't think its that good. We've got away with that one, a bit like our away win at the Saints according to some

Snap, the late 80s and Sport Projects produced both programmes.
