As ever, debate is encouraged. Unless you disagree.

Nice article Dave.
I sure hope next season it is all a bit cheerier.

I disagree with your comment that there have been 'worse Villa teams' unless you are talking pre second world war Dave. That was a season of the poorest quality from the manager, coaches and players. Somehow we have retained our place in the top division but we will hope for major changes over the summer break.
But will we get them is the question?

It is hard to really quantify if there have been worse villa teams. However the last couple of seasons haven't depended so much on how good the team was or wasnt but more on the fact that there are worse teams than us in the division. When the supply of poorer teams than us dries up then you know it's curtains...and we must be getting close to the final curtain..!

I think we have to be grateful that there have been some appalling teams in the league this year. What galls me is that we have actually had a few moments of magic this year albeit swiftly followed by turgid, horrible football.

Pretty spot-article for me Dave. Credit to the away support for once again showing selling out and at least putting a brave face on things. I do think the support has been great the last few seasons considering...

Hit the nail on the head with "the lack of intensity".
Regardless of all the other obvious shortcomings, the lack of energy and intensity over the last few months is unforgivable.

Good read, but I don't think it was an odd penalty decision.

Yep, if there was any last fragment of doubt in my mind about whether Lambert should go it was taken away by his comment about it being a 'massive acheivment to stay up'. What a frigging loser.
