Guzan, Vlaar, Delph and Benteke are the only players you can safely call Premiership standard.

Vlaar's shite, he just looks good compared to those around him. Have a look at where he was for the first goal - AWOL and completely clueless.

I think he's okay. He's just about good enough at this level. I think part of his problem is fitness. Too many niggles and injuries and he's the sort of player that could probably only manage 20 games every season. Despite already having a spell out injured this season, I think he's looked tired in the last month.

I'd sell him at the drop of a hat though. We most certainly need better as our defensive lynchpin. He's not a patch on a Mellberg or a Laursen. Not within a country mile. That's the quality we need to hold our backline together.

I'd like to see Vlaar with a decent defensive partner alongside him. Should have been Dunne last season and Okore this. Instead he's had Baker or Clark to contend with. I'd give him another season
