To be fair that was an impressive defensive display. Bowery is piss poor today though.

I wonder if Milner would celebrate if he scored.

Surely city can not play with same level of control in the second half. They have wasted all their energy. Well done Villa boys specially Clarky. Delph is not quite Toure...yet!

Defended we'll. only a couple of real scares. Long it goes on the more nervous they get 2nd half...but 1 goal could open the floodgates.....for us hahaha.

Are we playing 19th century football or being tactically superb?

We're defending superbly.

We just don't have the outlet with Bowery up front.

I'd love, love to see Grealish come on. Fuck Bowery off, play Weimann up top on his own, stick the scrawny little Villa kid in the middle.

Fireworks would occur.

Agreed Bowery isn't offering anything really, Grealish could be a good option.

Think we've done alright so far. We've frustrated them and had a couple of decent breakaways ourselves. The backline has been excellent so far, Clark in particular.
Bertrand has played very well.
I think the front two have done well when we've managed to get into their half. Weimann looks confident and Bowery has been involved in a couple of our best moves. He's taken an absolute battering from Garcia this half but has come out of it well.
Delph has been sloppy on the ball today. He just needs to keep it simpler. He's not Pirlo. We're not gonna get the ball much so when we do we've got to be better with it.

The more we frustrate them the more joy we might get on the counter I think. Andi found himself one on one at one point. We've had a little luck thus far, so hopefully we'll nick something.

I've never seen this Grealish kid, is he really that good a prospect?

If Grealish comes on for Delph, will that bring our average price down to about 8 quid a man?

If Villa and West Ham both keep clean sheets with such tactics I look forward to Rodgers and the Liverpool support bleating about how unfair it is.
