Five at the back, good grief.

Same formation as Saturday apart from having an actual midfielder instead of a Winger in midfield.

Big difference between offering gaps in midfield to Hull and showing such encouragement to Man City. They must be rubbing their hands.

Most of the gaps we offered was when Albrighton was on. I'm not saying it will work and it will depend on how much they push the wing backs back.

Come on Villa.   It's only Manchester City.   Shit back to shit in one generation.

Just been texted by my mate who used to play for Citeh.   He desperately wants us to win.  Liverpool fan. Born in West Bromwich.

Got a pound on Villa to win 1-0, Delph to score. 380/1. If I'd known Bowery was gonna start I wouldn't have bothered. Can't see us scoring less than five now.

Well on their side there is no Aguero and on our side Bowery starts. It can only go one way now. Liverpool's lucky night!

The perseonnel will not make much differnce. Three in midfield against that lot is offering space and asking for trouble.

Having the full backs pinned back will be problem but a secondary one. It's the two spectators up front I feel for.

Bobby Shinton.   Malcolm Alison sold him.   He hates them.

The bench looks a little light on defenders; a couple of injuries midway through and we are truly screwed.
As said,fortunately a meaningless game.

The first time this season for any game we've been involved in I'm not as nervous as fc*k.

Fear for us with that 5-3-2. It has its merits but in a game like this where we'll likely be chasing the ball quite a lot it just ends up being a flat five pinned back.

Grealish and Robinson to come on and turn the game in the second half.
Bowery hattrick too.

Best thing about tonight is it's our penultimate suffering and I do expect us to suffer. Lambs to the slaughter. I have a feeling we'll try and play football but with next to no pace up front, I can't see how we'll create any chances.

I just hope we can keep down what potentially looks like a cricket score. Knowing Villa, we'll probably do a really stupid thing and score first and really piss them off.
