Nice to see vlaar writing a paragraph or two in the programme yesterday explaining the post match reaction at Swansea last week. He was at pains to highlight he didn't diss the away support but his gesture was more in agreement with the fans reaction to the abjectness of that performance. Fair play to him.

I never buy the programme but fair play to him for doing so.

Haha didn't realise Brigada had a massive Vlaar shirt at the start of the match. Looks good.

Did Shane Long touch the ball yesterday? Barely mentioned in the highlights which was a surprise to me as he usually has his best games of the season against us.

Hardly now. Seemed to be daydreaming of Wembley.

He won't be playing there either.

Strange that considering he can't play in the FA Cup final.  ;)

To be honest other than the period immediately after the goal they hardly had a sniff. We had a bit of a wobble during that period but other than that we did a good professional job of hardly giving them a sniff.

I am quite surprised at some of the reaction on here. On the pre match hardly anyone had us down for a comfortable win, yet that is what we got and instead of recognising it some people just dismiss it as though it was nothing to do with us and all down to Hull being poor.

Every win is lucky and down to the opposition being crap. You should know that by now Chris.

Well said, Chris.
For once, the team actually looked well prepared, and they played dynamically and purposefully; helped admittedly by the good early goal. Hull were a little listless but I thought we were in the box-seat for most of the game.

Shouldn't be playing week in, week out any more. However he's still one of our better players and should still be a key squad player for the next 2-3 years. I think Gabby would be much better as an impact player in this stage of his career now.

Agree entirely - playing every game is not feasible for a 38 year old....use him from the be....what ? He's not that old ??

He's 27 ??  FFS !! I thought, the way people were writing him off, he must be older than God - or Holt...
