Fairly comfortable in the end. Hull never looked too willing to press us much. We pressed well, worked bloody hard and won convincingly in the end.

Weimann man of the match. Play the lad through the middle and he'll score goals.
Bowery played well too. His best game for the club so far. Like Weimann, responded well to being played in his natural position as opposed to a fill in wide man. He might not be the best player we've ever signed but today showed the benefit of fresh legs. In the last 6 weeks we've run some of these players into the ground and they've needed a rest, and we've needed to freshen things up but haven't. Whilst they may not be fantastic, the likes of Helenius, Tonev, Bowery could have been providing a bit of impetus and energy, and of course a desire to impress.

Everyone else was pretty solid too.

I'd like to see us rest a few players rested in the last two games, and a few of our also-rans and youngsters given the chance to impress.

We may as well give some of the players like Gabby, maybe Delph, Vlaar etc an early holiday and just give 2-3 players the chance to show their worth. Notably Helenius, Tonev, Robinson. If Gardners fit he could do with some chance to show he's worth a new contract.

As things stand it's 6 worse teams than us, but your point stands.

Well done to the players and staff for today's result.  That is what is expected at this football club.  Let's finish the season well and then see what the Summer brings

Finally it was a good home performance, we looked threatening and showed some movement. It was good to see, but now the hard work begins.

We have the ability to play like this against any team 10th on down. In fact we've done it against a number in the top four. There is no reason at all we should have been in this situation in the first place. That said, the worry is over. Let's hope the next number of weeks and months ends the uncertainty surrounding the club and we can look forward to much happier times.

Well done to the fans at Villa Park. As usual you're a credit to the club.

Why? Apart from Guzan, Delph and Vlaar (when he's felt like it), the team have rarely broken a sweat all season!
I understand what you mean about giving the fringe players a shout, but as for the first team, I'd bloody well do the opposite and cancel their summer holidays!

Can I just say that, Des Little this evening you are my hero.  Your positivity over the last while has been a great source of comfort to me when reading that shithole of a thread "Relegation".

Also to all you other positive people whose belief never wavered.  PWS, I think you were one.  I'm sorry to all the others whose names I can't remember but I'm just as grateful to you as well.  I'm a pessimistic old bugger and do I wish I had your faith.

The beer will go down well tonight.  Bring it on.

Help me. Am I missing something?
Couldn't we still go down if everything goes belly up and goal difference is destroyed?

Someone has to be the first - We are not safe yet! ;)

Phew! - And Weimann has again saved us, just like he did with that goal against Fulham. Might not score many, but some really important.

Weimann is just clearly a centre forward.
