And breathe
As things stand it's 6 worse teams than us, but your point stands.
Fairly comfortable in the end. Hull never looked too willing to press us much. We pressed well, worked bloody hard and won convincingly in the end. Weimann man of the match. Play the lad through the middle and he'll score goals. Bowery played well too. His best game for the club so far. Like Weimann, responded well to being played in his natural position as opposed to a fill in wide man. He might not be the best player we've ever signed but today showed the benefit of fresh legs. In the last 6 weeks we've run some of these players into the ground and they've needed a rest, and we've needed to freshen things up but haven't. Whilst they may not be fantastic, the likes of Helenius, Tonev, Bowery could have been providing a bit of impetus and energy, and of course a desire to impress. Everyone else was pretty solid too.I'd like to see us rest a few players rested in the last two games, and a few of our also-rans and youngsters given the chance to impress. We may as well give some of the players like Gabby, maybe Delph, Vlaar etc an early holiday and just give 2-3 players the chance to show their worth. Notably Helenius, Tonev, Robinson. If Gardners fit he could do with some chance to show he's worth a new contract.
