Mark Hughes has done a great job at Stoke.

I'd like him as the next manager. Would he come to us though?
I imagine that if we wanted him then he would walk to Villa Park to manage us.

Quite a lot of fans leaving St James Park on 69 minutes

A lot of them left for many years prior to 1992
True. I remember when only 15000 of the world's most passionate supporters used to turn up every week.

He would have been a good puck for us in 2011

To think we wanted McLeish instead.

In football circles we are still a huge club. You're right Hughes would love to manage us. In fact any number of managers would love to be the one to make us truly great again.

Money is the thing. For me it comes down to the quality of player just as much as the tactical side. At the moment, we seem to have neither.
