Nobody is in denial. We're fucking shite and probably the worst team in the league at the moment. But, we probably, probably, have bungled enough points together to scrape through.

I think that's my view on it too.

Based on the last six games, we are indeed bottom with 1 point. Cardiff are 17, Norwich 19 and Fulham 14 with Sunderland a lofty 12th. Interestingly, Palace are top with 15 points from 6 games.

It's those big games we've won that have just about kept us up this season. Fortune smiled on us in a few of those games for sure, particularly Man City where we had 3 shots on target and 30% possession but somehow won the game 3-2.

I'm in denial. I'm in denial like a drowning Egyptian. I'm assuming we're going to win this weekend. Allowing any other thought into my head will lead to running around, screaming, sobbing and being found naked in the foetal position in a supermarket, shivering and just repeating the words 'Grant Holt' over and over again.

I think we'll win all 3 remaining games & then everyone will wonder what all the fuss was about.

I have had more enjoyment reading H&V in the last few days than I've had from watching Villa all season.

Bit like the great Southampton heist where we had 20 something possession and three shots on goal .

Which isn't ideal as they're playing one of our rivals.

Alternatively this run has to stop sometime. It has to. Please?
