I will agree that I'm not a huge fan of the new badge. Mainly because it doesn't say "Aston Villa" on it.

I've always found something very useful when seeing an item of clothing I don't like, I don't buy it.

I haven't bought a Villa shirt since I was a kid, but I still want to see our players in a shirt that's fit for a club as great as ours. Instead we get a supplier that known for mainly supplying lower league and non league clubs.
They must be the only Italian clothing company without a sense of style.

Style? Its sportswear, it all looks shit.

If Randy sells up, can we get rid of our shit badge?

One of the first rumours linked with the takeover was a complete rebranding of the club. You may just get your wish, Mr H.

I think we should either:

- Keep it but remove the star
- Go back to the original version of the current crest
- Have the lion embroidered onto the shirt in a similar way Spurs have with their cockerel with 'prepared' under it

Yeah I'd like to see a stripped down version of the club badge. No crest, just the rampant lion with 'prepared' written underneath.

If that was done right it would be fantastic.

We should confiscate Randy's pencils and felt tip pens.

It's not who makes the shirts that matters it's the players who wear them.

Are you saying it's not the biggest shirt deal in our history? Which one was worth more?

Please can you answer, do you think that Nike's failure to get the kits out before Winter had started was acceptable?

Any second now...
I'll answer it if you want.

It is the most lucrative deal the club has had.

It was pretty shoddy that the last Nike kit wasn't available for so long You can't excuse those things.

As a fan though, and although I personally haven't bought one for myself this season, the quality of my sons two shirt (last two home shirts) and my Dad's couple have been of poor quality compared to Macrons direct competitors products.

I accept the line about the labour costs too, but of course that is going to have a bearing on the quality of materials used, especially if you intend to keep the mark-up on the retail price in line with competitors.

Of that 70% that is being quoted, how many do you think just like it because it's a Villa shirt and it's the latest one, because lets be honest that's why the majority of people buy it.

Well good luck with that one.

I'd like to stop pissing about with the badge.

Personally I don't care if it's Macron, Nike, Adidas or Primark who makes the kit. It's the players that wear it that we should be more concerned with.

The only thing I don't like about this home shirt is the small collar at the back. Other than that it's ok.

As for Nike, the cock up where they didn't supply them until November was just embarrassing for such a world renowned clothing company and for us.

I found the quality of the Nike training wear and polo shirts to be particularly bad.

True but some, well one at least, will just vote against anything the club does!

Thanks for a more reasoned response than SH's "anything I don't like must be shit" posts on every subject.

When you say the quality wasn't good what was wrong with them? Did they fall apart in the wash? Did you write to the club, hopefully any problems can be (ahem) ironed out before next year?

I know the general feeling is that Nike fucked up, but i do wonder what part the club played in it all. It isn't like things have gone swimmingly the last few years at any level of the club. No basis for accusation other than it wouldn't surprise me to hear we fucked up a little ourselves
