I am proud that we have an irregular past participle on board. And Given is much better than beaten, or lost. Hoping that we can bring won on board too.

Good luck to both, I have a horrible feeling they are going to need it.

So, hope for Bent then?

Get the feeling this may be like a massive release of tension for everyone, players, fans, management, just a pity we dont have the big fella up front to capitalize. can`t put my finger on it but it might just be what was needed, because whatever was going on - and something obviously was, it sure wasn`t helping.

I'm hoping that we will get that 'new manager' effect and give someone a proper good spanking.

Saturday would do nicely.

Win on Saturday and we are pretty much safe. Let's hope this is the catalyst for it.

For no logical reason at all I am really looking forward to Saturday's game. Hopefully this gives everyone a lift, the crowd can make some noise and we can get a positive result.

Sounds like the playing squad have been lifted, ,let's hope that translates onto the pitch on Saturday!

Training- Day one of the Sid 'n' Shay show.

Sid: Lesson one lads...pass the fucking ball.

Gabby raises his hand. Sid frowns.

Sid: To someone wearing the same colour shirt as you.

Gabby lowers his hand. Nathan Baker raises his hand.

Sid: And someone on the pitch. Not in the crowd.

Baker lowers his hand.

Sid: Pass and move lads. Pass and move.

The squad looks on confused, struggling to fathom the new fangled concept that Sid Cowans is peddling.

Shay: It's gonna be a long week boss.

Sid: Yes. Where's Paul?

Shay: He's hiding under his desk in the office, rocking gently back and forth.

Yes, if it is bent around the wall into the top corner. And let's not forget "shot"...

I am now looking forward to Saturday and an upbeat atmosphere. Previously I was dreading both the game and likely bad atmosphere.

Same here, I was thinking it would need an extra couple of pints pre-match to cope.

We can do what the Fulham and CP supportors did and be the 12th man the team need. I will not and never have boo'd I just silently slink away after each defeat for another ruined weekend, on the odd occasion that i go home with a smile I think my wife thinks I have been having an affair.

I think it would have to be an on-off affair in our case.
