I truly hope all the followers won't ruin credits.Recon bought Villa seriously with fully conducted research not 4 chasing fashion toys.

Read that in a Mark E Smith style and it makes more sense-ah.

Ha ha.  It actually does.

Interesting article on Chinese ownership of West Midlands clubs.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/17/chinese-investment-west-brom-aston-villa-wolverhampton

I've just read that. The reply to the comment from the marginalised 'nose made me laugh.

To be fair the only way Carson changed the face of Birmingham City is by them winning a proper trophy under his ownership. If that nose thinks leaving them skint outside the top tier of English football is changing the face of the club he is either very young or has a very short memory.

Ha, just spotted that, well done.  I'm surprised to find a Bluenose reading the Guardian though.

I thought they had more taste and were more intelligent than that.

Just seen that Samuelson has now left us with a rumour that it wasn't his choice...no idea if true or not.

According to Companies House both Samuelson AND Wyness resigned 1st August! Leaving Our Tone and some secretarial service.

Clear as mud, and once you've cleared the mud away there's just more mud.

I don't know about Samuelson but Wyness is still with us isn't he? I presumed he was the one completing the deals bringing in Jedinak and hopefully others.

Which company is the actual trading entity of Villa ?

Wyness is still a Director of a couple of AVFC related companies

Good question. If there're subsidiaries then that might explain why Recon is such a muddle.

I think I'd just trust the official site right now rather than trying to work out what's going on there.

On there:

Board Members
Owner & Chairman   Dr Tony Xia
Chief Executive    Keith Wyness
Director  Tracy Gu
Advisor to the Board  Brian Little

Other Members
President Emeritus   Sir Doug Ellis OBE

Looks like Aston Villa FC Ltd (Company number 02502822) was the trading entity. Not sure if this set up changed when Tone took over

I am no expert but doesn't David Beckham amongst a number other businessmen have different companies handling different aspects/branchs of their businesses. Presumably for tax reasons.
