It doesn't matter how much money they have. They're still wolves

Told by a Wolves fan, that the group that owns the Wolves, makes £24 million every day - not sure if that is profit

But sounds to me like they are extremely wealthy

As my wife said to me last night "I think that the wrong group have brought you"

A Wolves fan who says that anything they've got is the biggest or the best. How surprising.

I went to school just outside of Wolverhampton, so grew up with them. Dave's comment is just perfect.

But didn't they beat Honved once in the days of black and white and Billy Wright  to become de-facto World Champions?

He was one of the 4000 in the 4th division too, along with every other Doghead of that vintage.

I bet they don't get many chants of 'where were you when you were shit' because err.... They still are.

I've mentioned on here before that, from a football-mad school, with about 350 kids in each year, I could count the number of them that went to watch the Wolves when they were in the fourth division on one hand. More of us took the train to the Villa on a weekend than went to watch the Wolves in town.

That began to change when Jack Walker took over, but up until then there wasn't much.

I don't dislike Wolves per se, but there is this element of their support that has a Manchester United-lite attitude that everything connected with them is better than anything anyone else ever has, and when you talk to them there's always the feeling that you're never more than a couple of sentences away from "Yow an me ahtside now".

You know if they had an SE or an N postcode though that the media would be shinning sun up that Doghead backside.

I'm not really fussed about them either. Not as moody as Small Heath and not as confused about themselves as the Stripey Filth. I look forward to their high pitched "Veeeeela" though when we play them, oh the hilarity.

In my experience I've met blues, baggies and walsall fans who you can have a reasonable football discussion but wolves and coventry fans just seem to have a massive chip on their shoulder and every single football conversation, regardless of the actual subject, ends up with them being the bestest ever or villa being shit.  I'm convinced it's because they really want a big club as their rivals but they know deep down that we don't care about them at all.

Yeah, sorry. I've been on holiday for a week and am playing catch-up this morning, so I was posting quickly. Cheers, Chico.

Wolves,
I told my little lad they were the second biggest club in the midlands the other day

I really don't know if I'm right on that one and its obviously open to interpretation but taking into account fan base, history etc I don't think I'm too far out

although they haven't won diddly squat in donkeys years I still see them as a bigger club than Forest,Derby,Leicester,Stoke even though some of them sides have won stuff in my lifetime and one of them is the current premier league champions

Whose the second biggest club in the Midlands is the equivalent of bald men arguing over a comb.
