He absolutely right, it's best to get the right one's rather than just going out and signing anybody for the sake of it. If that takes a bit longer that we'd like, then so be it.

Agree Clampy, I just hope that money is not, or ever becomes the deciding factor. In my estimation the paying a bit over the odds for the right man is better than the wrong man at the right price. I like Tony Xia but the depths of his pockets is as yet unknown.

I like what I've seen of Tony but I really don't like his tweets. It's very ameteurish. To get 140 characters ran through a colleague for a sense check wouldn't hurt.

There are two reasons for tweeting in this capacity - 1. Personal kicks 2. AVFC communications strategy.

I think currently he is firmly in category 1. I've no idea how his tweets are helping the business. I've worked in comms for years and could easily help him with not too much effort.

Dr Tony shouldn't engage this with sort of stuff. He's right that fixing the last 5 years in a month just isn't realistic. He couldn't say anything that could placate people complaining about him.
